A love of nature colors my whole life. I want to share its beauty and glory with you through my photography. I want you to see nature, be it animal or a plant, a flower or a fungus, up close, or as a landscape.
I majored in aquatic biology at Eastern Michigan University. What a joy it was to spend my days learning about nature. As I worked, my emphasis moved from biology to the impact we were having on the planet. I worked as an environmental specialist for many years, and I am very proud of my accomplishments.
I live in SuperiorTownship, a rural area east of Ann Arbor. A local conservancy with whom I am actively involved is actively working to preserve its beauty and rural nature. Those efforts and the pure beauty of the world are my main inspirations.
My images are of natural items and events, photographed as I found them, or arranged as a scene on a flatbed scanner so the details can be seen. They are then printed on paper, on canvas or on ceramic tiles. The tiles can be and are incorporated into various craft objects.
For additional information or options contact me. If you have a favorite image or object, animal or plant you would like translated to a work of art, printed on canvas or a tile, I will be glad to work with you.
